​We are seeking a documentarian to collaborate on a series of video essays exploring urban soil care as it manifests in Amsterdam. Starting in 2025, we will partner with the AMS Institute and the Municipality of Amsterdam to design and construct a prototype soil care "node" in Amsterdam Centrum, with the project running through at least March 2026. This initiative will feature community co-design workshops, prototype construction, and interviews with gardeners, farmers, soil scientists, policymakers, and other experts.

 

Through documentation of these activities, the films will highlight the urgency of soil care, aiming to inspire immediate climate action among policymakers at local, national, and European levels, as well as to engage the broader public. By blending community stories, expert insights, and animated visualizations, the series will communicate the transformative potential of soil care to a diverse audience.
